Preschool Teacher

Carousel Preschool and Infant Center have been in operation since 1984 and provide early childhood education and care for the Los Angeles airport local community. Carousel School serves children birth through 5 years old in a nurturing, stimulating, and family-centered environment where the cultures and special needs of children and families are embraced and supported.  Carousel School is in search of a Preschool teacher who is able to recognize children’s needs to learn basic academic skills, explore the world around them, achieve independent living and thinking skills, enjoy the learning experience, and become responsible citizens in an ever-changing world.  The ideal candidate must have a BA in Early Childhood Education (preferred), or a BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on course study in teaching young children.

Director of Speech Language Services

Responsible for the care and management of students with speech and language disorders, many on the Autistic spectrum. Specialize in establishing communication methods for individuals working along a multi-modality approach using a variety of techniques. Direct and coordinate activities of 3 licensed speech therapists and their assistants. Responsible for scheduling the speech services for all children according to their IEP needs. Supervision of the team also includes staying up to date with policies and guidelines as detailed by the Nation Autism Center and ASHA as well as local education authority. Implement the curriculum in the classrooms providing support and consultations to teacher to establish Total Communication within the classrooms. Work closely with the Directors of other profession that are represented with school districts to fulfill the needs of the students.

Requirements: Masters degree in Speech Sciences, CLEAR Credential and SLP CA License OR Bachelors degree, five years experience, SLPA License and a credential waiver from CCTC. Salary $68,515.00/year. Job location/interview Los Angeles, CA Contact Ms. Maria Davis at (310)645-9222
