Integrating Occupational Therapy clinicians into the classroom with handwriting programs, assistive technology and functional work programs, Tammy is part of the OT team that works to create a smooth transition for the Carousel students into their community. Tammy initiated the thriving “Student Store” project at Carousel School, which helps fund school projects and programs throughout the school year.

For the past 7 years, Tammy has been a school and council chair in the “Reflections Program”, a program dedicated to increasing the awareness of the arts within a child’s education. Tammy has also devoted her time and efforts towards integrating all people regardless of their disability into the community. Tammy and her family have started and continued an annual holiday drive of her local community which donates goods to orphanages in Mexico and more recently local shelters in Los Angeles for the past 10 years.
